Funny saying "healthy as a horse" because I go to the stables all the time just so I can see horses and other farm animals (My human is afraid of me becoming a city slicker) and I have actually seen a sick horse. So is someone trying to say I as big as a horse? Well that can't be true because Mom told me I was a "big galuth".

Feminine Stance}

I was x-rayed at the specialist office when I was pretty young. My signature stance made my vet take notice. It was found that I do not have hip dysphasia but I am hocked legged a condition you are born with. Mom calls it's my "SEXY WALK" because I place one foot in front of the other and it makes my butt wiggle from side to side.

It is what gives me the trademark feminine heart shaped fanny.

Ouchy}

On February 5th, 2009 I was jumping the tortoise fence in the back yard as I always do and I hit my knee! It was my first ouch I had ever gotten and it scared the tears right out of my human.I had x-rays and my bones were perfect but there was a little bit of fluid on my left knee and the possible of some soft tissue damage. So I was told to rest and move as little as possible for the next week or so.

Turned out I did not need surgery just some down time. Mom had friends in town and Jim sat with me for long periods of time and made me feel better. While healing I discovered that when you are sick you can ask for and receive as many dog biscuits as you want!

I started out on three legs, then I tip toed like a ballerina. And by weeks two I was a hobbler. I was getting better, slowly. Seams like that was a life time ago. As no one would know any difference and maybe it was just something that happens to everyone, you know, an accident but at the time it certainly seamed traumatic.

^{My Forms}Being a therapy dog it is mandated that my records be up to date. So between that requirement and the excellent care I receive at my vets office, there is no health issue left unturned. On top of regular visits to the veterinarians. I also take heart worm, a month advantage and daily glucosamine vitamin at home.
I am as healthy as... well, a horse!
