There is
nothing better than love!
In Spring of 2008 Emma passed her testing for
"Canine Good Citizen" and my P.A.W.S
evaluation.
P.A.W.S stands for Pets Are Wonderful Support.
I watch the
smiles she
brings everyday.
This is a group oriented program sponsored by the
SPCA.
We are active members in good standing with the OCSPCA.

The human / animal bond
Dec. 2008 Emma was evaluated for another therapy program
and
passed with flying colors! This organization allows her the freedom to
be part of a group or visit independently.
This freedom has given us the opportunity to become
part of many different organizations.
Please visit our page on Special Events to see
some of Emma's adventures.

List Service for
Therapy Dogs!!!!
I don't know how I did it but I found it! This is who
I was meant to be! List Services has allowed me to work with dogs from
some of the best organizations available in our field. And has offered
so many wonderful opportunities to be of service. Visit my biker dog
page to see my show stopping humor, which I sometimes use at these
events. I am exactly where I was meant to be now, exactly!

How kind of you
by Debra Jo Chiapuzio
I use to hear story
about people who used their dogs for therapy work. They took the
time to visit those they didn't know in hospitals, homes and
other special facilities. I read a couple of articles or saw
information on TV hearing about the benefits of human animal
contact. And I use to say it, "How kind of you."
Then I became the
handler of a therapy dog. I went to place to visit people I
didn't know in hospitals, homes and other facilities. And I
heard it being address to me, "How kind of you."
I no longer know why
people say this. For now I realize it isn't kind of me, it's
selfish of me. I do it because being witness to the bond that
animals share with humans only add to the happiness I already
have in my life. I do it because I have met the most wonderful
people along the way. Those from all walks of life, with
different values, different believes, different humor, different
thoughts. How else can you imagine learning so much?
It is the elderly that
are the best. It is the oldest we should listen too. Years of
wisdom. Years of knowledge. They know what matters. THEY make ME
smile, not the other way around.
It's not how kind of me.
It's how fortunate I am to be a part of this!
